Today's blood count: That's a doubling of platelets, with hemoglobin holding steady.
Good news, indeed.
Some post-prednisone fatigue is being experienced, but the doc says that's normal "for a few days."
Yay.

I definitely understand that Big Smile pic a heck of a lot more than your insurance statement - - - holy magnolia!
ReplyDeleteHappy for you and your platelets,
Jen
C'mon. That's more of a grin. I think the platelet news deserves a bigger smile than that! Get some rest this weekend - we want asome ear-to-ear action next week. Cheers, Ted
ReplyDeleteYeah, doubling is great! Just watched the MDS video - Oy; 15,000 cases a year is as rare as my father's Merkel Cell Carcinoma. Are you with a university or research program? Did you call Leigh?
ReplyDeleteHere's to more platlets with resulting wider grins and narrower nausea margins. Ginger helps.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. Sorry to say, that's as big a smile as I could find in any photo of me. Maybe that's why they don't call me "Smiley". Nope, Steve, not with any research program yet. I am my own research program. And, Lynn - Ginger? Who's Ginger? Is she cute? (Sorry, I couldn't resist.) Have heard that ginger is good for nausea, but have never tried it. Added to the list of things to get/do.
